Speculation began on Friday after the RAW star trended due to removing all references to WWE from his Twitter account. Wrestling Inc first reported he had asked for his release last week, with F4WOnline.com later confirming the request had been denied.
Formerly known as Andrade Cien Almas in NXT, he has not been used on WWE TV since October. He was reportedly sidelined for a minor procedure and was supposed to return shortly afterward, but hasn’t been used since then.
Andrade first debuted with WWE on the NXT brand in January 2016 and later joined SmackDown (with Zelina Vega) after being moved in that year’s Superstar Shakeup. Prior to WWE, he was known as La Sombra and gained international fame as part of the CMLL roster in Los Ingobernables alongside Rush, Marco Corleone (Mark Jindrak) and La Máscara.
