One of WrestleMania 36’s best matches wasn’t a WWE bout at all but rather Charlotte Flair challenging and winning the NXT Women’s Championship from Rhea Ripley. However, it doesn’t seem like a repeat performance is planned for this year’s event.
According to WrestleTalk, NXT won’t have a presence on the two-night WrestleMania 37 event. Neither Io Shirai or Finn Balor will defend their belts on the show. It’s said that there was talk of Balor being at ‘Mania, but that is not currently in the plans.
Of course, with Wrestlemania 37 still being a month out, it’s entirely possible that the WWE changes plans once again. Either way, we’ll keep you updated as WrestleMania season continues.
