Bobby Lashley Explains Why Brock Lesnar Isn’t The Man Anymore, Welcomes Potential WrestleMania Match

Ahead of his WWE Championship Match with The Miz, Bobby Lashley already has his sights set on an even more imposing target in Brock Lesnar.

In a recent interview with Vicente Beltrán of ViBe & Wrestling, Lashley addressed the widespread speculation about a potential WrestleMania match that would pit him against “The Beast Incarnate.” Lashley stated that because Lesnar lost to Drew McIntyre, he’s not entitled to a title shot. Instead, if he returns to WWE, he’ll have to work for a title shot, and he’ll find that Lashley will be waiting for him.

“Drew beat Brock, so of course he’s probably at home, a little upset, but at the end of the day, in order to be the champion, you gotta beat the man,” said Lashley. “That’s what everybody always says, the famous quote by Ric Flair. ‘To be the man, you gotta beat the man.’ Drew’s the man. I helped [The] Miz beat Drew, but outside of that, Drew’s been the man, so I think all the focus should be on Drew.

“And if Brock wants to come back in the picture, Brock’s gonna have to work his way back up there to that title shot, and there’s a lot of people right there at front door. Myself, Braun [Strowman], The Miz, and there’s several other people that want to get that shot at the title, so he’s not the man. So of course, that fight everybody would love to have [it] sometime in my career just because of the similarities between Brock and I.

“But at the end of the day, if Brock comes back, I welcome that challenge. It’s up to him. If he doesn’t, Drew’s the man.”

Many fans have been hoping to see the dream match between Lashley and Lesnar become a reality for a while now. Given the way “The Almighty” has risen to the top of WWE RAW, this colossal clash at least seems possible, even if it’s not necessarily probable.
