After losing to Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber, Daniel Bryan made his case for another WWE Universal Championship opportunity during tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Instead, however, Bryan was unable to secure another chance, and once again fell victim to a brutal assault from Reigns.
After being granted a match against Jey Uso tonight, Daniel Bryan needed to win in order to get another title shot against Roman Reigns at WWE Fastlane. However, during the match, Uso – at the command of Reigns, most likely – decided to purposely end things in a double contour, as he and Bryan were outside of the ring and Uso simply held Bryan outside to cost them both a win.
Despite the loss, Bryan wasn’t done, as he threw Uso back into the ring after the match and locked in the Yes Lock. Unfortunately for Bryan, though, Reigns quickly came down to the ring, attacking Bryan with a huge spear before locking him into the guillotine to end the night.
