WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results (2/26/21)

Apollo Crews comes out and we get a video package recapping his match against Shinsuke Nakamura last week and the subsequent attack on Big E. Crews says we saw the real him last week and that his ancestry is Nigerian royalty. He shows off a scarf with Nigerian colors and says they stand for wealth, dominance, and power. Crews then starts talking with a Nigerian accent and Nakamura thankfully interrupts.

Apollo Crews vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Crews attacks Nakamura before the match and is about to hit him with the steel steps, but the referee stops him. We then go to commercial break. The match is in progress once we come back and Crews is in cruise control. Nakamura battles back into the match and lands some impressive kicks and a sliding knee for a near fall. However, Cruise hits several German suplexes to re-gain an advantage.

After a sliding snap suplex from Nakamura, Crews goes outside the ring and slams Shinsuke into the steps. Nakamura manages to lock in a sleeper, but Crews holds onto his scarf in the corner to get out of it. Cruise hits an Angle slam for a three count and wins.

Tamina Snuka vs. Liv Morgan

Tamina is joined by Natalya and lands a big superkick on Morgan, who has Ruby Riott ringside. Morgan dodges an attack and then gets in some offense of her own. She goes to the middle rope and lands a dropkick. Tamina kicks out after one count, and then lands a Samoan drop. Tamina grabs Morgan and then lands a black hole slam for the win.

Bianca Belair makes her decision

We’re expected to get Bianca Belair’s WrestleMania decision next. After a commercial, Pearce and Deville welcome Belair to the ring. Belair says her life has changed since her Royal Rumble win and Deville asks her who she is choosing: Asuka or Sasha Banks.

Belair says her choice is clear, but she’s interrupted by Carmella’s sommelier Reginald! Good ol’ Reggie says Bianca saw how Banks can perform first-hand when they tagged together and says that her journey has been inspiring.

“You are special and we are all in awe because you are living your dream,” says Reginald. “But I know deep in my heart that if you decide to face Sasha Banks at WrestleMania then that dream will dissolve quickly into a horrible nightmare.”

After Reginald says Belair will be nothing more than a loser after WrestleMania, Banks then decides to come out. Sasha rips the microphone out of Reginald’s hands and then pushes him away after telling him not to speak for her. Banks says she’s more than the champ, she’s the standard and Belair will choose her if she wants to be the conversation.

Belair disagrees and says Banks will eat her words at the grandest stage of them all. Bianca vows to show she’s the strongest, greatest, fastest, and all the other -ests at WrestleMania.
