Lars Sullivan is no longer with WWE but he was almost a brilliant behemoth.
Sullivan (real name Dylan Miley) posted the following image on his Instagram account revealing WWE had at one time planned for him to portray the “Brilliant Behemoth” Lawrence Sullivan:
Miley was released by WWE in January, but it was not made public until last week. PWInsider.com reported the former SmackDown star was quietly released last month, but didn’t know any details regarding the release at the time. Later, Fightful.com spoke directly with Miley, who said WWE’s decision to keep his release was a surprise, but they handled it with compassion and honesty. He also told the site that his crippling anxiety issues had become so severe that he told WWE he couldn’t wrestle anymore, and his career is pretty much over.
In regards to the past issues that put a black cloud over his WWE career, Sullivan took responsibility for everything and referred to himself as his “own worst enemy.” Sullivan’s WWE career was full of misfortune ranging from injuries and lengthy unexplained absences to being fined $100,00 and ordered to undergo sensitivity training for making racist posts prior to signing with the company. It also came out during his run that he had acted in a gay adult film, which certainly didn’t go with the company’s PG direction.
“There is no excuse for the inappropriate remarks that I made years ago,” Sullivan said of his past racist and homophobic remarks. “They do not reflect my personal beliefs nor who I am today, and I apologize to anyone I offended.”
Sullivan last wrestled on the October 23, 2020, edition of SmackDown, where he defeated Shorty G. He had just returned to SmackDown that month, having attacked several stars and squashing Jeff Hardy the week prior.
