WWE NXT Results (2/3/21)

Austin Theory w/Johnny Gargano vs. Leon Ruff

Theory takes sand early advantage and beats down Ruff in the corner. Ruff surprises Theory with a roll up. Theory kicks out. Ruff lands a few strikes. Running knee strike by Ruff. Ruff tries to get involved but Ruff superkicks him. Missile dropkick by Ruff. Gargano gets on the apron and gets kicked again. Theory and Ruff run into each other and knock head. As Gargano is laid out outside the ring, Candice LeRae and Indi Wrestling run down to helo Gargano up. Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart hit the ring and attack The Way. Ruff falls down and acts like Gargano hit him. Gargano is ejected from ringside. Theory hits his finish on Ruff for the win.

Winner- Austin Theory

After the match, Theory hits another ATL. Theory tries to get a chair but Dexter Lumis appears and chokes Theory. Lumis rips out a chunk of Theory’s hair.

Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic: Lucha House Party vs. Legado del Fantasma 

Metalik and Mendoza trade flips before Metalick catches Mendoza with a ranna. Dorado tags in and lands a springboard moonsault off the middle rope for near fall. Wilde and Mendoza double team Dorado. Dorado tags in Metalik. Metalik tries to walk the rope but is pushed to the floor by Mendoza. Wilde tags in and hits a suicide dive that sends Metalik into the barricade. After the break, Dorado gets the hot tag and clears the ring. Metalik and Dorado both land huge dives to the outside. Mendoza and Wilde hit their finish on Dorado for the win.

Winners- Legado del Fantasma

MSK runs out on the stage and congratulates Legado del Fantasma on their victory. Next week, it’s MSK’s time.

In-Ring Segment: Pete Dunne, Oney Lorcan, and Danny Burch

Dunne says he told Finn Bálor what he wanted and Bálor didn’t listen. Dunne is done waiting. So Dunne snapped Bálor’s fingers. Bálor walks to the ring and tells Dunne to stop hiding behind Lorcan and Burch. Dunne says he isn’t hiding. Burch and Lorcan leave the ring. Dunne tells Bálor to hold on to the title tight because the first chance he gets, he’s taking it. Bálor tells Dunne he’ll get his chance at TakeOver Vengence Day. Edge’s music hits. Edge walks to the ring. Edge says sometimes this company puts too much emphasis on the E, but in NXT they focus on the W. Edge says watching this show helped him find his passion. Edge puts over Bálor and Dunne. Edge says he will be watching their match at TakeOver Vengence Day. Edge has never held the NXT Championship and the title is VERY intriguing to him. If Edge hasn’t made his choice by TakeOver, their fight may cause him to make his choice.
