Former BBC Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond Has A New Job — Royal Rumble Correspondent!

Jennie Bond is a well-respected English journalist and television presenter, and now she’s starting her latest venture as a Royal Rumble correspondent… huh?

According to a post on the WWE UK Twitter account, Jennie Bond will be counting down the days by providing “news, views and opinions” until the Royal Rumble on Sunday. Bond worked for fourteen years as the BBC’s royal correspondent and it appears that at least for this week, she’s covering the “one true sport” of pro wrestling.

WWE bringing outside talent in for guest appearances is not a new practice, as they’ve featured many performers and media personalities over the years, especially at WrestleMania. That said, there’s been plenty of talk about betting odds this month—but no one had odds on a BBC Royal Correspondent throwing her hat into the ring!

Heading into Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, the betting favorites in both the men and women’s matches have seen their odds of winning increase, according to leading online sportsbook Bovada.

Daniel Bryan and Bianca Belair shot to the top of Bovada’s leaderboard in early January and the oddsmaker continues to like their chances as Sunday approaches. Original men’s co-favorite Big E remains in the top four along with Big E and Brock Lesnar, while December favorite Edge has dropped to fifth-best odds.  On the women’s side, Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley, and Bayley join Belair as the top four.
