WWE NXT star Ridge Holland recently spoke with Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT, and he offered an update about the gruesome leg injury he suffered in October 2020. He suffered several simultaneous leg injuries during a brawl with Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.
“‘It’s early days yet, but the doctor has said six to nine months, so I’m just taking it day-by-day and see how the knee and ankle feels,'” said Holland via McCarthy. “‘If I look too far in the future I’ll probably take my focus on what needs to be done today. So yeah, we’ll see how it goes.’”
As for the injuries themselves, Holland said they happened as a result a “freak accident,” and he listed each of them during the interview.
“On my left leg I fractured and dislocated my ankle and then on my right leg, I dislocated the kneecap and ruptured my patella tendons,” said Holland. “Kind of a buy one get one free on injuries!”

The most horrendous thing here is how mundane the spot is, but just shows the risks involved in even the simplest of things in wrestling.

Holland also praised WWE for taking care of him, and he said the WWE has been an excellent support system. He stated that his recovery has been going smoothly.
“‘It’s coming on well,'” said Holland. “‘The WWE medical staff are top notch and they’ve got me well on the road to recovery.’”
If his recovery goes well, Holland will hope to return to NXT sooner rather than later and become a breakout star on the black-and-gold brand.
