The wrestling world is once again in mourning as National Football League Hall of Famer and World Championship Wrestling star Kevin Green has passed away.
Greene, 58, was a star linebacker at Auburn. Drafted to the Los Angeles Rams in 1985, Greene would win Defensive Player of the Year honors and made five Pro Bowl appearances. He was placed into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.
His five-match run in WCW saw him tag with fellow NFL player Steve McMichael before feuding with McMichael after the latter joined the Four Horsemen. He also faced Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Syxx at WCW Slamboree in 1997 having teamed up with Roddy Piper and Ric Flair. Finally, he teamed with Goldberg against the nWo in 1998.
His wrestling career ended after NFL teams limited his appearances contractually.
