At WWE TLC, Asuka needed to find a new partner after Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler took out her original teammate, Lana. Charlotte Flair returned to team up with Asuka. The two Superstars have been rivals in the past, but they formed a dream team at WWE TLC.

Flair had been absent since June. On an episode of WWE RAW, Jax attacked her backstage and injured her arm. In actuality, Flair needed to have a corrective procedure. Flair is one of the most decorated Superstars on the WWE roster, so her return adds some star power to the women’s division.
Sunday marked her first match in WWE since June 17, 2020, when Asuka beat her on WWE RAW to retain the Women’s Championship.
Flair didn’t miss a beat in her return to the ring. She showed the in-ring skills that make her a 10-time Women’s Champion on the main roster.

In the end, Flair pinned Baszler with Natural Selection to win the match and the titles. With the victory, Flair became a Grand Slam champion. Asuka is now a dual champion, as she also holds the WWE RAW Women’s Championship.
