Tommaso Ciampa Overcomes Timothy Thatcher’s Distractions To Beat Cameron Grimes

After defeating Timothy Thatcher at NXT’s WarGames, Tommaso Ciampa continued his run during tonight’s episode of NXT. In a match against Cameron Grimes, Ciampa came away with a big win and then promptly got into an argument with Thatcher, who was seated at ringside watching the match.

Towards the end of their match, Ciampa had to fend off an additional intruder, as one of Thatcher’s students attempted to interfere in the match. Luckily for Ciampa, he was able to knock him off of the apron, avoid an attack from Grimes, and land the Willow’s Bell on him for the victory. Following the end of the match, Thatcher tried to tell Ciampa that he had nothing to do with the interference, and Ciampa seemingly accepted that as he walked away without any fight. However, Grimes was not too happy, and tried to kick Thatcher for the intrusion, which led to Thatcher catching Grimes’ foot and twisting it the wrong way, leaving the superstar screaming in pain on the ground as he walked off as well.
