Sonya Deville posted the following to her Instagram account, speaking out against people that harass celebrities and let her fans know that she is taking things more seriously from now on.
Deville (Daria Berenato) had to deal with this herself this year as she had a stalker enter her home and attempt to kidnap her this August. As a result of the home invasion attempt, Deville has been off of WWE TV since Summerslam.
I’m going to say this once and try to be clear. I love my fans very much and appreciate u despite what has happened I do not categorize u all as raging psychopaths. But harassing myself or people I have been w/, etc, is never acceptable. I share my life with y’all to an extent because it is part of what I do and what I signed up for. That being said I will not hesitate to report and or take legal action against anyone that has sent threatening messages and or anything inappropriate to me or someone in my life. Like I mentioned I am not messing around at all and it is a zero tolerance policy at this point due to the referenced incident, thank you.
Deville’s stalker, a South Carolina man named Philip Thomas II, faces multiple felony charges for the attempted kidnapping, and he has since plead not guilty to charges of armed burglary of a dwelling, attempted armed kidnapping, aggravated stalking with a weapon, and criminal mischief. If convicted on the armed burglary of a dwelling charge, he could be convicted to life in prison.
