The AEW Women’s Championship was on the line as Hikaru Shida faced off against challenger Anna Jay, who had her fellow Dark Order members on the ramp.

It was all the champ early on, but Jay had clearly scouted the champion and showed off some crafty counters to some of Shida’s signature maneuvers. Jay would lock in the Queen Slayer and nearly choke out the champion, but Shida was able to roll out of the choke. Shida was able to hit a gorgeous German suplex and then get the momentum back in her favor. A running knee would secure the victory for Shida.

After the match, Abadon would come out and grab the championship. In a move that isn’t particularly smart during a pandemic, Abadon licked the belt to declare that she’s coming for Shida.
