One of the pioneers of the internet age in wrestling, Bob Ryder sadly passed away following a long battle with cancer.
Ryder was a longtime agent for IMPACT Wrestling who continued his duties working for the company from home. According to a tweet from Dave Meltzer, police found him in his home today. According to a report from PWInsider, he was last in contact with IMPACT last night.
Bob Ryder was found dead at his home in Nashville by police today. We don't know more but he had fallen yesterday and was on advanced chemo. Impact officials couldn't get in touch with him and went to his home and he never answered, police were called and found him dead,

Bob Ryder parlayed his early experience with the internet into several firsts in the industry. He founded 1Wrestling, bought the original domain for ECW’s website in the 90s, had a reporter job for World Championship Wrestling, and held the first-ever online chat for the World Wrestling Federation for WrestleMania 11 featuring Shawn Michaels and “Big Daddy Cool” Diesel.
