Quinn McKay welcomes viewers and previews the show.
In a video package, Jay Briscoe says his focus is now on EC3 instead of the ROH World Tag Team Championship. EC3 says he has planned to fight Briscoe, but they have a lot in common. He says he envies and respects Briscoe because he has always fought and bled for Ring of Honor. Briscoe vows to honor Briscoe with a beating. EC3 wonders if Briscoe has what it takes to show him whether honor is real.

Backstage, McKay asks Briscoe why he did not uphold the Code of Honor with EC3. “Because f— him,” Briscoe says.
In a video package, LSG looks back on his wrestling career and says Jay Lethal inspired him. He says he’s been trying to follow Lethal’s past. He reflects on his team with Shaheem Ali and calls 2019 a failure. But he states that he’s on a different level now. He says he’s been scouting Lethal, and he’s a student of the game, so he’s prepared for this match. He wants to prove that he can hang with the best.
In another video package, Lethal calls the ROH Pure Championship Tournament a bittersweet experience. He says the better man won in his match with Tracy Williams. He discusses The Foundation’s goal to find those who have honed their craft and reward them. That’s why he requested this match with LSG because he wants to give the young star an opportunity to prove himself.
Pure Rules: LSG vs. Jay Lethal
Both men feel each other out with technical holds. LSG matches Lethal’s every step and has his moves scouted. LSG reaches the ropes to escape a Figure-Four attempt. He briefly gains the upper hand, but Lethal plants him with a suplex and a back-breaker. Lethal targets LSG’s back and grounds him. LSG kicks out of an inside cradle and dumps Lethal to the outside. A baseball slide dropkick gives LSG control of the match.

A clothesline earns LSG a two count. Lethal rocks LSG with a kick, but LSG plants Lethal with a Rocket by Baby for a two count. LSG locks in a crossface and transitions into a Sharpshooter. He then shifts to a Muta Lock in the final minute of the match, but Lethal reaches the ropes. The match reaches its time limit, so the judges will decide the victor.
