Backstage, Reigns berates Uso for thinking he needed to handle Reigns’ business. Uso doesn’t make the matches, Reigns makes the matches. Uso apologizes and says he’s going to handle it.
In-Ring Segment: Sami Zayn
Zayn complains that WWE Managment gave him an hour’s notice that he is defending his title against a former United States Champion Apollo Crews. Zayn says he is being set up to fail and no one has ever had to put up with this type of crap. Zayn is going to show everyone that his IC title is more important than the US Title or anyone who has ever held it. Crews interrupts and walks to the ring.
Intercontinental Championship Match: Sami Zayn (c) vs. Apollo Crews
Crews tosses Zayn around the ring. Crews press slams Zayn and drops him face-first on the top turnbuckle. Crews counters Zayn’s suplex into one of his own. Crews gets a near fall after a standing moonsault. Zayn rolls out of the ring to avoid Crews’ onslaught. Zayn rips the apron off of the ring. Crews tries to retrieve Zayn but Zayn trips him into the metal framing off the ring. Zayn traps Crews’ leg in the metal and rolls back into the ring. Crews is counted out.
Winner-Sami Zayn
Backstage, Adam Pearce tells McIntyre that he can’t sanction a match between McIntyre and Uso. Pearce says McIntyre can have an unsanctioned fight if he wants it. McIntyre quickly agrees.
Backstage, Rey Mysterio is with his family. Mysterio says he is going to send Seth Rollins to the soul-crushing hell he belongs. This ends tonight.
