WWE Expects To Be At A Venue Like The Amway Center For Rest Of 2020

During their earnings call earlier today, WWE Chief Financial Officer Kristina Salen revealed that the company has plans to keep running shows in arenas that can house the ThunderDome for at least the rest of 2020, if not longer. While the contract with the Amway Center now runs through November 24, WWE will eventually have to move their operations to a new venue. According to Salen, that won’t end up being a problem, saying that there are lots of venues that would fit the bill.

WWE will need to find an arena that won’t be occupied for months that can hold the ThunderDome set that is also conveniently located nearby to a major travel hub, as wrestlers and other staff need to fly in and out of the city for each set of tapings. There have been reports that WWE has been trying to find one of the venues that would fit the bill for months, even before their extension with the Amway Center.
