NJPW G1 Climax 30- Night 10 Results (10/6) Hirooki Goto Makes G1 History

New Japan Pro-Wrestling continued the 30th G1 Climax on Tuesday. The show was marked by a new record in the history of the prestigious tournament. Hirooki Goto defeated Toru Yano in 18-seconds, beating the previous record for  shortest match set in 2002, when Kenzo Suzuki defeated Tadao Yasuda in 37-seconds.

Elsewhere on the show, SANADA was able to get a much-needed win over Zack Sabre Jr., keeping him in competition after an opening slump. EVIL was able to get past Juice Robinson, with EVIL and his “Spoiler” Dick Togo seemingly working much better together than in matches past. YOSHI-HASHI took Tetsuya Naito to the limit in a losing effort.

In the main event, Hiroshi Tanahashi was able to overcome KENTA’s shenanigans to get a big win. KENTA even dented his IWGP US Challenge Briefcase, but it wasn’t enough to topple the Ace. KENTA submitted to a Texas Cloverleaf.
