If you are able, cast your mind back to the end of 2019. AEW was still establishing itself on television, and WWE was looking at all its options in order to differentiate its Wednesday Night brand, NXT. One of the things people talked about then was NXT touring outside of Full Sail, making the show look like a big production at a time where Dynamite was hitting up full arenas. We live in a very different world now, but one of the dates from that line of thinking has resurfaced.
Ticketmaster has put tickets up for sale for an NXT Live event in Atlanta Georgia that’s currently scheduled for December 17. This show was originally set for April and was understandably delayed to December at that time. It will be interesting to see if NXT goes through with the show in three months’ time or if it will be canceled or delayed again. WWE has invited fans into its digital ThunderDome presentation in lieu of live shows in recent times, while AEW has started invited limited numbers of live onlookers into the open-air Daily’s Place. In both cases, running a full arena as these ticket sales seem to suggest seems to be a long way off.
