Major League Wrestling announced recently that they would be restarting with new tapings taking place in the Northeast and the month of October.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that once the brand does return to television, the series will have a new name and will no longer be debuting Saturday on beIN Sport. Instead, the plan is for new episodes to debut in a primetime slot during the week and debut first on the Fubo Sports Network. MLW will remain on BeIN Sport, but that broadcast will effectively be a replay of the episode that debuts on Fubo TV.

For those uncertain, Fubo Sports Network, which is available for free across a number of platforms and devices, including their Fubo TV streaming service and Pluto TV.

There is also a plan for MLW to move forward with original content and specials specific to DAZN streaming service. DAZN will be adding what is reportedly a “significant” amount of MLW’s library to the service as well.

Ideally, MLW would like to have the promotion on as many platforms as possible which would allow for easier access ability to the promotion. There is a feeling internally that streaming platforms are better suited and supportive to pro wrestling and it’s better to experiment with different ideas as opposed to television outlets that are more set in their traditional ways.
