The NWA is coming back, and Nick Aldis is wasting no time in proving he’s still worthy of carrying the 10 Pounds of Gold. At the upcoming debut of Primetime Live, the new PPV series that will spotlight NWA talent, Aldis will put the title on the line against Mike Bennett, the former Mike Kanellis in WWE. Mike has already tweeted out several messages about the newly announced match, building excitement about the September 15 matchup:

Bennett has also competed in ROH and New Japan, where he won tag team gold with Matt Taven. This will be his first appearance in the revived NWA promotion, and there’s no word on whether Maria will be accompanying him to ringside.
Primetime Live will be produced in an empty arena with COVID-19 safety measures in place. Previous announcements surrounding the first episode include West Coast Pro Champion Alexander Hammerstone defending his gold against EJ Sparks and appearances from NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa and Chris Dickinson.
