In a moving letter to many members of her “WWE Family” posted on The Players’ Tribune, Renee Young said goodbye to the job she’s had for a decade. Calling out everyone from Vince, Stephanie, and Triple H to the many backstage hands she’s worked with over the years, the letter touches just about every corner of WWE production.
Young starts the letter by telling a story about the job she initially wanted to break into American television, the hosting gig on SportsNation. After a great interview, she felt confident about the position, but it ended up going to another woman, one that she saw walk on stage during a broadcast. WWE came calling soon after that, but her time in the promotion has proven that she could have handled anything thrown her way.
There’s also a brief but touching segment about her husband Jon Moxley. While fans continue to speculate that she’ll join the current AEW Champion at his place of work, Renee was very tactful in her writing. Moxley was only referenced as “Jon” and there were no hints that she was headed to the competition. For now, she more focused on selling her cookbook, but sports fans likely won’t have long to wait before seeing Renee Young once again.
