Naomi Upsets Bayley, Sasha Banks Defends Against Asuka Second At SummerSlam

Ahead of their championship matches at SummerSlam, Bayley and Sasha Banks took to the ring during tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown, where they were surprisingly defeated by Naomi in a Beat the Clock Challenge.

After coming down to the ring with both champions in it, Naomi said that she would take on both superstars, with Corey Graves suggesting to make it a Beat the Clock challenge to determine who would face off against Asuka first at SummerSlam. With Banks going first against Naomi, she came away with a big win, trapping Naomi into the Banks Statement and forcing her opponent to tap out with 3:39 on the clock. Unfortunately for Bayley, she was unable to last as long, and was actually unable to even win. Late in the match, Naomi landed the Rear View on Bayley after kicking out of a pin attempt, defeating Bayley with just 1:44 on the clock, meaning that Bayley will be facing off against Asuka first at SummerSlam.

After the match, Banks was extremely happy, but that was to be short-lived. After helping Bayley up, Asuka quickly came down to the ring, where she said that she will be the empress of every title after SummerSlam. After running down the ramp at Asuka, Banks was swiftly kicked in the head, and left alone as Bayley ran off afterwards.
