A Bombastic Introduction To WWE ThunderDome
FOX often asks its viewers if it’s ready for SmackDown via song, and that musical question has never been more apt than this week’s episode, which features the debut of WWE ThunderDome. The much-hyped laser light show/arena spectacular/crowd simulation is WWE’s answer to presenting the spectacle they’re known for without the help of huge crowds of fans.
WWE uploaded a video introduction to the concept earlier today, showing off an array of screens and pyrotechnics that are sure to dazzle on TV later tonight.
Talking Smack Is Back This Weekend
In addition to the introduction of the ThunderDome, tonight’s SmackDown will also reportedly mark the return of Talking Smack, the SmackDown centric talk show once hosted by Renee Young. The news comes from Pro Wrestling Sheet, who has confirmed the news with inside sources. Young is no longer with WWE as of this week, making it unknown who will take her spot in the host’s chair. Also, unlike RAW Talk, Talking Smack will not air on the Network directly after the show. It will premiere Saturday in order to ensure that it only premieres after the show has aired in all FOX markets.
