Timothy Thatcher Helps Velveteen Dream Defeat Finn Balor, Ladder Match Set

Tonight’s episode of NXT ended with a big match between Velveteen Dream and Finn Balor, where Dream ended up coming out on top and earning himself a spot in the NXT North American Championship Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver: XXX.

During the incredible back-and-forth match, Dream was able to get the upper hand after chaos broke out. Late in the match, Johnny Gargano, Cameron Grimes, Bronson Reed, and Damian Priest all found their way to the ring, where a brief brawl ensued while the referee was incapacitated. After all of the superstars had been knocked out of the ring, Timothy Thatcher came out of nowhere, hitting Balor in the back of the head outside of the ring before tossing him back in. With Balor hurt, Dream was able to knock Balor down and land the Purple Rainmaker on him for the win. Now, he’ll move on to TakeOver: XXX with the opportunity to capture the NXT North American Championship in a big Ladder match.
