The biggest pregame party of the summer is headed to the FOX Network.
According to a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, FOX will be airing a two-hour special to promote WWE’s 2020 Summerslam PPV on Saturday, August 22. WWE Summerslam’s Hottest Moments will air in the New York City market from 4-6 PM. Airtime in other markets may vary. The special will feature highlights from the history of WWE’s annual August PPV, which debuted in 1988.
FS1 recently aired the 1992 event in its entirety as part of an agreement to air vintage content on the cable network. FOX also aired a special ladder match retrospective ahead of WWE Money in the Bank event in May.
Saturday, August 22, is also the air date of NXT TakeOver XXX. That event is slated to begin at 7 p.m. Eastern with a pre-show beginning at 6:30 p.m.
