WWE United States Championship Match: Apollo Crews (c) vs. MVP (with Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley)
The lights go out both before Crews’ entrance and after it, and the announcers say there’s bad weather in the area. The referee raises both United States Championships. Before the match, MVP says he’s the real United States Champion, and he’ll be done with Crews after tonight. The lights keep flickering when the match starts. Both men feel each other out with technical holds. Crews kips up and the match is a stalemate. MVP takes control of the match, and the lights continue flickering. Crews suplexes MVP and targets his arm. MVP rocks Crews with a forearm shot to the face. Crews rallies with a flurry of strikes. Crews dives to the outside and takes out all three members of the Hurt Business.

MVP regains control of the match and grounds him again. He targets Crews’ neck and drops Crews with a suplex. MVP drills Crews with several elbows, but Crews rocks him with a kick. A crossbody gives Crews some momentum, and a spinebuster earns him a two count. The champion rolls out of a German suplex and hits a toss powerbomb for the win.
Winner and still WWE United States Champion: Apollo Crews
Crews escapes an attack from Bobby Lashley after the match and raises both WWE United States Championship belts. Backstage, he says seeing MVP call himself the champion hurt. Crews said he’s going to hang the old title in his kids’ bedroom so they can see the first title their dad won in the WWE.
At ringside, MVP yells at the announcers and says the lights created an unsafe work environment. He said Crews should be ashamed of himself. MVP said he doesn’t care about Crews’ family; he just wants a rematch at WWE SummerSlam.
