Io Shirai & Tegan Nox opened up tonight’s episode of NXT with a big tag team win over Dakota Kai & Candice LeRae. During their match, Shirai & Nox got a bit of a break after the referee looked away from the action to check on Io and Dakota Kai, who were at ringside after Shirai landed a dive onto her through the ropes.
With the referee distracted, Nox was able to hit Candice LeRae with The Shining Wizard, and once Shirai got back into the ring, she landed a vicious moonsault for the victory. Following the win, Shirai and Nox celebrated in the ring, while Kai backed up the ramp watching the duo with an obvious look of anger.
