Tonight’s IMPACT Slammiversary pay-per-view ended in a wild way, as Eddie Edwards walked out of a five-way match as the IMPACT World Heavyweight Championship. After the match, though, The Good Brothers showed up to help Edwards from getting attacked by Madman Fulton.
After surviving a match that also featured Ace Austin, Trey Miguel, the returning Rich Swann and Eric Young (who was the surprise former World Champion advertised), the championship match came down to both Austin and Edwards. After delivering two Boston Knee Party’s to Austin, though, Edwards finished things off with The Die Hard Plosion for the win. Following the match, Madman Fulton entered the ring to attack the new champion.
Shortly after, The Good Brothers – Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows – also came down to save the day, and things eventually ended with Anderson hitting a Gun Stun on Ace Austin followed by the Magic Killer. Afterward, the three celebrated together in the ring by celebrating some beers.

It’s down to Ace and Eddie. Ace is grinning as both get to their feet. The two trade boots and then punches. This continues for quite awhile. Rapid chops by Edwards and Ace is in pain. Superkick by Ace which downs Eddie. Ace struggles to recover. Ace charges and belly to belly suplexes Ace into the opposite corner. Eddie hits the Boston Knee Party for the false finish. Ace soon hits The Volt and a false finish again. A second Boston Knee Party by Edwards who then hits The Die Hard Plosion for the victory.
