When the clock struck midnight on July 18, the majority of the former WWE stars released amidst the global pandemic were officially free of their noncompete clauses. That led to several rebrandings on social media, the announcement of deals made months ago, and at least one candidate for the worst PPV of all time.
For Matt Cardona, previously known as Zack Ryder, it was time to let go of the past and introduce a new presentation. This morning, the star premiered a new theme song by Downstait, who has also contributed tracks to Cody Rhodes and Britt Baker of AEW. The band also composed the last rendition of Cardona’s “Radio” theme in WWE. You can hear a snippet of the song in the vignette embedded below:

The song is also streaming on Spotify, iTunes, and anywhere else fine music is heard. As for Cardona, he doesn’t have a known destination for his wrestling career, but it’s clear that he’s not done in the squared circle.
