Joey Ryan was fired from IMPACT Wrestling last night and now the company is working on removing him from future episodes of their wrestling programming.
Last night, IMPACT issued a statement confirming they’ve terminated the contracts of Dave Crist and Joey Ryan, and suspended Michael Elgin for allegations of misconduct. Shortly after, WrestleZone confirmed IMPACT would not air the scheduled six-man match between Cancel Culture (Joey Ryan, RVD and Jake Crist) versus Crazzy Steve and two mystery partners due to Ryan’s immediate termination.
PWInsider.com now has shared new details on the format for tonight’s show, revealing the six-man tag team match was scheduled to start this week’s show and that IMPACT had been working all day to remove Ryan’s match and any content he was featured in at the last set of television tapings. It was noted that any Ryan-related IMPACT content that was taped “will not see the light of day.”
As for the advertised “mystery partners” of Crazzy Steve for that match, PWInsider also noted that The Rascalz’ Dez and Wentz would have been revealed as his teammates. In order to fill in Tuesday’s show, IMPACT is said to be using material from other future episodes and had to re-record voiceovers so everything would properly fit in place.
