WrestleCon Announces Dates For 2021
WrestleCon is rolling out plans for 2021’s WrestleMania weekend event in Los Angeles. The convention, which was canceled this year due to the effects of the global pandemic, is set for March 25 to March 28. The organization has released special hotel packages for those wishing to attend, although tickets and specific event information are still to come.
WrestleCon was one of the entities that held out the longest before canceling their events this year in Tampa surrounding WrestleMania 36. There were concerns about the finances of the organization following the cancellation, and refunds were slow to go out for some ticketholders. In one sense, it’s good to see that plans are still in motion for a WrestleMania weekend event, but it’s also still not guaranteed that things will be fully back to normal in the intervening nine months.

Hosted by Global Citizen, the event hopes to highlight the impact of the global pandemic on marginalized communities, “including people of color, those living in extreme poverty, and other communities facing discrimination.”
