Booker T Intrigued To See If IMPACT ‘Gets Back In The Game’ After Recent Free Agent Tease

Booker T is curious if the wrestling business will feel the heat from IMPACT Wrestling.

On the latest episode of The Hall of Fame with Booker T and Brad Gilmore, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer is interested to see where IMPACT Wrestling lands in the industry landscape, particularly with all the free agent talents available right now.

“IMPACT Wrestling is perhaps maybe back in the wrestling game real soon,” Booker started off. “Maybe they’re getting ready to make a play because I was just thinking with all the acquisitions out there right now.

“I’m wondering if this is a time now for IMPACT Wrestling to ‘bang’ explode again and get back in the game?”

Booker also touches upon the life of running the independent circuit and how just before the COVID-19 pandemic shut everything down, that choice of business was very profitable to wrestlers, not just financially, but personally.

“I mean my thing is financial wise, I don’t know if these guys think enough about that because being out there on the independent scene, especially when things were hot and rolling, guys were able to make good money out there and not work as much. Being able to write your own ticket, write their own schedules, whatnot and that sometimes is okay for a lot of people. They don’t have to be in the bright lights,” Booker said, “because a lot of times once you taste it, the taste may not be what you want it, you know what I mean?

Booker cites IMPACT’s Jimmy Jacobs and Ronda Rousey as examples. He also mentions the development and change of Shawn Spears persona and how that appears to be beneficial for The Perfect 10 turned Heartless.

“A lot of times, a lot of these guys got to go through stuff like this in order to find themselves. Hey, I’m looking forward to seeing if TNA, IMPACT can get back in the game.”
