IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace recently appeared on The Chris Van Vliet Show, where she discussed several topics, ranging from intergender wrestling to her career with IMPACT Wrestling. Here are some highlights.
On Scott Steiner/her nickname:
Grace: “That’s the thing, I don’t know if he does or not, he’s never brought it up, I’ve never brought up, so…I mean, you know there was a whole thing about me being his kid or whatever and that was on my Wikipedia page for some reason forever until I had someone remove it but he didn’t know that. And that’s why he slapped my ass during that match.”
“Someone made a YouTube video saying, ‘Did Scott Steiner take it too far,’ like we didn’t plan it.”
On staying with IMPACT:
Grace: “I just felt like I would have more opportunities there because I know, you know, there’s other places that you can get signed, and you can get a paycheck, but who knows if you’re gonna get the exposure and you’re gonna get the TV time and you’re gonna get the opportunity. And then Ring of Honor’s women’s division is kinda like a completely different story, right? So yeah, I think, and also there are a lot of my friends at IMPACT I really like, and I didn’t want to give that up, I guess, the camaraderie.”
On the possibility of being the IMPACT World Champion:
Grace: “Yeah, one day, I think, for sure, hopefully I’ll have a world title match before I leave, before I turn 30. [A world title match against Tessa Blanchard] would be incredible. They already had a tie-in, Tess has already had a world title main event, but I would love to do a woman vs. woman [world title match] on a pay-per-view. It would be awesome.”
“There’s just so many options of like different things to do and so much history to be made by making her the champion, right? Like, you can have a triple threat match with two girls versus a guy, like, anything is possible.”
