Spectrum News caught up with Longwood, Florida Mayor and former professional wrestler Matt Morgan, who has announced that he’ll be running for Seminole County Commissioner in District 1. His opponent in the race is Bob Dallari, who was last sworn into office four years ago on the last day that he ever logged into Twitter.
When asked about his goals in the bigger role, Morgan says that he goes where he feels his fellow citizens call to him. He says he doesn’t want to make a career of being a public servant but instead serve as a “300 pound, 7-foot tall conduit” for the people of Seminole county. He feels that his opponent’s 16 year run in the office should come to an end, as he’ll bring new passion for the people to the position.
