Backstage, Zelina Vega says Angel Garza saw what he wanted and took it last week when he beat Kevin Owens. Garza flirts with Charly and gives her a rose. Vega takes the rose and rips the pedals off.
HBK tells us that he thinks Edge is going to beat Randy Orton at Backlash.
Backstage, Lana tries to speak to MVP but MVP says he doesn’t have time to deal with whatever attention seeking mess Lana is trying to start. Lana says she has bitten her tongue too long. MVP is just a leach trying to revive his career. MVP says if that were true, that would make two of us. Lana slaps MVP and storms off.
In-Ring Segment: Apollo Crews
Kayla is with Crews. Crews says this has been a surreal experience. Kayla says Crews gets to pick his first opponent. Crews says there is a man backstage that deserves a shot. That man is Kevin Owens. Owens joins Crews in the ring. Owens congratulates Crews and thanks him for the opportunity. Owens says he feels like this shot is being given out of pity. Crews says this is all about respect. Owens says he feels bad now. Crews asks why. Owens says he feels back because Crews’ first title reign is going to be a sort one.
