Outside The Arena

Elias is on the ground by a car. Renee Young says there’s been an incident and officials found Elias down on the ground, injured. A police officer identifies the abandoned vehicle that hit Elias and finds some paper work that shows the car belongs to Jeff Hardy. Braun Strowman witnessed the incident and says it’s a terrible situation. Officials find Hardy nearby, also wounded. They tend to him and help him to his feet. One of the cops says Hardy smells like the bottles in the rental car. Hardy is clearly hurt and confused. The cops handcuff Hardy, who can barely walk. Hardy shouts at Elias, concerned for his health. The officials guide Jeff into a cop car and drive away; Hardy is in police custody. Elias is driven away in an ambulance. Young says the situation will be monitored throughout the show.

Backstage, officials tell the locker room about Elias’ injuries; he and Jeff Hardy will be unable to perform in the Intercontinental Championship. Sheamus jokes about Jeff Hardy’s track record and calls him a pathetic junkie. AJ Styles says he and Daniel Bryan should just face off in the Finals. Bryan says Hardy and Elias should be replaced tonight. Sheamus says he deserves a shot at the gold and King Corbin demands another shot. Styles points out that Sheamus and Corbin lost their matches. Sheamus suggests they have a triple threat match. Dolph Ziggler points out his history with the title. Shorty G insults Ziggler. Everyone keeps arguing. Bryan and Styles get what they want. The winner of a battle royal will face Bryan and the victor will face Styles for the title in two weeks on SmackDown. The battle royal is next. Styles calls Bryan an idiot.

Battle Royal; Winner Faces Daniel Bryan Later Tonight

Drew Gulak and Shinsuke Nakamura battle on the apron. Cesaro tries to eliminate Lince Dorado and Drew Gulak. Dolph Ziggler narrowly avoids elimination. Sheamus stomps Shorty G in the corner. Cesaro almost eliminates Ziggler, but he stays in the match. Sheamus nearly tosses Gulak out, but he hangs on. Sheamus yells at Michael Cole, and Shorty G nearly eliminates the distracted Celtic Warrior. King Corbin eliminates L=Dorado. Gulak tries to eliminate Corbin but Corbin eliminates him instead. Cesaro almost eliminates Jey Uso while Ziggler and Corbin try to double-team Gran Metalik. Corbin tosses Metalik over the rope to eliminate him. Ziggler tries to cross Corbin , but Corbin eliminates him instead. Uso superkicks Corbin over the rope to eliminate him.

Cesaro and Sheamus team up to ground Shorty G. Sheamsus tries to eliminate Shorty G, but he perseveres. Shorty G drops Sheamus with a tornado DDT. Uso takes control of the match with some superkicks. Uso is floored by a kick from Nakamura. Cesaro rocks Shorty G with an uppercut, but Shorty G eliminates him. Shorty G eliminates Nakamura and the match comes down to Sheamus, Uso and Shorty G. Cesaro sneaks into the ring and tosses Shorty G out of the ring, eliminating him. Uso rocks Sheamus with some punches. Sheamus blasts him with clubbing blows. Uso floors Sheamus with a superkick and nearly eliminates him. They battle on the apron, and Sheamus eliminates Uso with a Brogue Kick.

Winner: Sheamus

Backstage, Sonya Deville says she dominated Mandy Rose last week. She says she’ll dominate Lacey Evans this week. She falls over when Evans confronts her. Evans says she’ll see her in the ring.

Shorty G argues with Nakamura and Cesaro. The Swiss Cyborg tells Shorty G to walk away because he’s not worthy of being the Intercontinental Champion. Shorty G shoves Cesaro off and says he won’t back down, so he accepts Cesaro’s challenge to a match.

Sonya Deville vs. Lacey Evans

Deville tries to take Evans down, but she blocks it. Evans gets on all fours and lets Deville try to ground her. They exchange technical holds, and the match is a stalemate early on. Deville drops Evans with a shoulder block. Evans floors Deville with a kick. Evans calls her a nasty, but Deville rocks her with a punch. Deville hits Evans with two more punches and steps on her hair. Deville takes control of the match, but Evans rallies with a facebuster. Evans traps Deville in the ring apron and punches her. Both competitors trade blows and brawl at ringside. The match ends in a double countout.

Winner: Draw (double countout)

Evans throws Deville into the broadcast table. Deville walks away after she says she’ll fight Evans on her own terms.
