WWE Releases Collection Of ‘Greatest Match’ Shirts Ahead Of Backlash

For the past few weeks, WWE has been hyping the regular wrestling match between Edge and Randy Orton as “The Greatest Wrestling Match Of All Time.” Anyone with even a passing knowledge of wrestling history knows how patently absurd that is, and some within WWE seem to know it as well. While we wait to see what Edge and Orton can deliver at Backlash, we can ponder the selections for WWEShop’s new collection of “Greatest Match” t-shirts.

From Rock and Austin stunning the crowd at WrestleMania X7 to Triple H and Cactus Jack’s ultraviolent street fight at the 2000 Royal Rumble, there are certainly some fine selections you can choose to immortalize as a torso covering for a little less than $30. I personally would have included Punk’s banger with John Cena on RAW back in 2013, as would several of those who’ve replied to WWE’s tweet on social media. However, that’s probably impossible considering Punk’s current demeanor towards his former employer.

Considering the current roster, I’d say they did a good job of selecting the “Greatest” of WWE’s catalog. All these matches are in the conversation and all of them provide a steep hurdle to overcome when Rated RKO explodes at Backlash.
