Alexa Bliss Speaks Openly About Her Career-Threatening Concussion Issues

Outside of the Four Horsewomen, there are few women’s stars in WWE that shine as brightly as Alexa Bliss. She has been a huge presence on the main roster, both in the ring and as the host of her talk show, A Moment of Bliss. However, we could have missed out on a lot of that. In a recent interview, the current Women’s Tag Team Champion spoke about the concussion issues she suffered earlier in her career (around 2018) that threatened to leave her on the sidelines.

I was experiencing really bad vertigo for an extended period of time, and all my other symptoms were gone. But if I had changed height levels, I would get extremely dizzy. It didn’t go away for a really really long time. So that’s when I got really concerned. And they were like, well you can’t be in the ring if you’re having any symptoms at all. Then you have to go through a whole concussion process after you stop having symptoms.

Bliss continued that she was grateful to WWE for giving her the chance to stay on the show with her Moment of Bliss talk show and her spot hosting WrestleMania. I’m grateful as well, as this period produced one of my personal favorite WWE moments in a good while.
