WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal is reportedly set to work as a babyface moving forward rather than a heel as most fans are accustomed to.
Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is interested in proceeding with Jinder Mahal as a babyface moving forward. Last week on RAW Jinder delivered a face-like promo when he discussed McIntyre winning the title and being happy for him. Dave said, “He said that his journey back to the top will be a hero’s journey. The idea was always to try and market Mahal as a babyface superstar for India.”
Jinder said he wants to learn from his mistakes in the past and is not interested in repeating his history. The main belief is that WWE wants a top babyface from India and that Jinder Mahal is the right man for the job. He in fact may be the only choice at this point. His last WWE run reportedly had little impact on Indian fans even though he was WWE Champion.
Jinder has never had a WWE run as a face before and there is no word on if The Singh Brothers will be involved in any capacity. Jinder had nearly been out of action for an entire year.
