UPDATE: The match is set for next week’s episode of SmackDown.
Charlotte Flair may currently be reigning over the world of NXT, but that didn’t stop her from appearing on tonight’s episode of SmackDown to gloat. However, an interruption from Bayley and Sasha Banks ended up in Flair accepting a future challenge from the SmackDown women’s champion.
After being brought over to SmackDown via FOX’s brand-to-brand rule, Flair said that she helped make SmackDown what it was, and said that there should be huge banners of her everywhere. Hearing this, Bayley quickly made her way out with Banks, and complained about the fact that Flair was even there, telling her to go back to Monday Night RAW.
Flair was clearly ready for the verbal assault, telling Bayley that she was only relevant because of her before turning her attention to Sasha Banks. Flair wondered why Banks was content being the “muscle” for Bayley despite being a former champion herself, and said that the only reason Bayley is champion is because of Banks. After cutting the pair off, Bayley challenged Flair to a match, to which Flair accepted before asking Banks if she’s happy being Bayley’s lackey or would rather be her own woman.
