This comes after New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo, declared a state of emergency and said that all gatherings of 500 people or more are not permitted and venues such as the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and Madison Square Garden could be shut down for months.

A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden released the following statement via the New York Daily News:

“We support Governor Cuomo’s decision and starting tomorrow night, our New York venues will only host events that adhere to the Governor’s very clear parameters. This is a fluid situation and we will be back with further details when available.”

WWE recently held Monday Night Raw at the Barclays Center on March 2nd. Outside of the event at Madison Square Garden later this month for WWE, the next major wrestling event in that venue will be NJPW Wrestle Dynasty in August.

WrestleZone continues to monitor everything concerning Coronavirus’ effect on professional wrestling and will continue to report any and all updates.
