At NXT TakeOver: Portland, Rhea Ripley defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair. Throughout the match, Belair and Ripley showcased the power and skills that make the two of the best wrestlers in NXT. Belair rocked Ripley with a spinebuster and whipped Ripley with her hair. She then dropped Ripley with a Military Press.

Belair reversed a Riptide, Ripley escaed a Torture Rack and Belair dropped Ripley with a Spear. The champion rocked Belair with a kick but Belair sent her flying to the outside. The challenger dove over the top rope onto Ripley outside the ring. Ripley pinned Belair after a Riptide to retain the championship. After the match, Charlotte Flair attacked Ripley and accepted her challenge to an NXT Women’s Championship match at WrestleMania. Flair also attacked Belair after the match. Then, the announcers confirmed that Flair will face Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship at WrestleMania.
