Update: Jeff Cobb made his AEW Dynamite debut last night but it’s not exactly confirmed that he signed a full-time contract with All Elite Wrestling.
PWInsider.com is reporting Cobb is still technically a free agent, despite his appearance on last night’s show. Cobb, a former ROH World Television Champion, is still set to work some dates for Ring Of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. Cobb’s deal with ROH expired at the end of 2019 and it was noted that as of press time he hadn’t signed with AEW, and had been working with ROH on a per-show basis. It was also noted that despite Cobb’s debut last night and ties to ROH and NJPW, this should not be taken as a sign that AEW has a working relationship with either promotion.
Pro Wrestling Sheet‘s Ryan Satin is also reporting Cobb’s agreement with AEW might only be for a few appearances at this time. Sources close to the situation claimed he was only booked for a few shows, one of which is his match against Moxley next week.
The Inner Circle has a new hired gun in Jeff Cobb, and he’s got Jon Moxley in his sights.
