Sunday’s Super Bowl certainly had a pro wrestling presence throughout the evening’s festivities. From The Rock introducing the big game, to Ric Flair and John Cena promoting their respective hummus and beer spots in commercials, there was plenty of squared circle talent looking super. You can add Daniel Bryan to that mix as he happened to join in on Discover’s new “No” and “Yes” approach to promote the main benefits of their credit card – no annual fee and wide merchant acceptance.
The two spots aired during the fourth quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl showdown against the San Francisco 49ers and Bryan sent out a Tweet after seeing the two ads, aiming to be in on the “Yes” campaign side of things for the advertisement, and Discover made the proper adjustments.
Hey @Discover, your ad was music to my ears. If you need another YES, I’m available! #ad #BigGame #DiscoverYes pic.twitter.com/aNGoLPF80O

Discover’s Ryan Scully, who is the SVP of Brand, Media and Consumer Insights talked about Bryan joining in on the campaign. “When we looked at ways to extend our “Yes” conversation, Daniel Bryan was a natural choice. His personality, signature chant, and ability to connect with sports and entertainment fans are unique and energizing,” said Scully.
Discover also revealed that the ad will continue to air with Bryan featured going forward, airing during WWE Smackdown on FOX, NHL on NBC and the NBA on TNT.
