There could be some major news on the horizon for NXT as we look down the Road To WrestleMania.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider is reporting that Charlotte Flair is scheduled to be in Orlando this week for Wednesday’s NXT and fans who watched RAW last night may know what that could lead to.
Yesterday, Charlotte teased fans that she would challenge for “a championship” after winning Sunday’s women’s Royal Rumble match, leaving the pool wide open for what belt she was going to go after, that likely includes the NXT Championship held by Rhea Ripley. The Queen’s presence back at Full Sail makes matters promising for the black and gold brand being her brand of choice. Dave Meltzer also talked about this on his Wrestling Observer Radio this morning.
Meltzer noted Charlotte Flair vs. Rhea Ripley is the current plan, with Becky Lynch versus Shayna Baszler, and Roman Reigns vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt as two other matches that are currently penciled in for the big event.
Last night’s episode of RAW saw WWE confirm Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre, and a tease for Edge vs. Randy Orton.
