At WWE Royal Rumble, Becky Lynch defended the WWE RAW Women’s Championship against Asuka. For weeks, Lynch has been focused on avenging her loss to Asuka at WWE Royal Rumble 2019. Asuka took control early on but Lynch locked in the Disarm-Her in the ropes. A role-assisted neckbreaker turned the momentum back in Asuka’s favor. Lynch rallied and rocked Asuka with a dropkick off the apron. A Bexploder into the barricade gave Lynch even more momentum. A diving leg drop earned Lynch a two count.

Asuka drilled Lynch with a kick and slammed her for a near fall. A hip attack sent Lynch crashing into the ring post. A rope-hung slam earned Lynch a near fall. Asuka put Lynch in an armbar but Lynch avoided the Asuka Lock. A stiff kick to the head seemingly knocked Lynch out. Lynch stopped the referee from ringing the bell but another kick earned Asuka a near fall. Lynch countered the Asuka Lock but Asuka avoided the Disarm-Her. Asuka tried to spit her mist at Lynch but Lynch kicked it out of her. The champion made Asuka tap to the Disarm-Her.
