Word got out over the weekend that four-time World Tag Team Champion Sylvain Grenier has returned to WWE in an agent role to help develop talent, and the company featured him last night in a new backstage exclusive segment. Grenier was asked about his new role and who has stood out to him on the roster, noting there’s a lot of names but Buddy Murphy caught his eye already:
“That Buddy Murphy has got some very great potential. There’s so many, but we’ll see. I love the tag team division. I think they did great. We have a lot of characters, different persona. Excited about that. I was a couple of time World Tag Team Champion so maybe I can put a little input.”
Grenier also worked for (then TNA) IMPACT Wrestling as a French commentator but later retired from in-ring competition. He was asked if there is a return to the ring in the cards and said it’s been a while but offered an old wrestling adage:
“Never say never, but my boots are being really dusty and hanging for awhile, but never say never,” Grenier said.
