This figure is a lot like the Ringside Collectibles exclusive Hulk Hogan figures by Storm Collectibles you’ve seen reviewed on here many times. You can currently get him over on RingsideCollectibles.com where you can SAVE 10% with discount code MBG at checkout!

The Packaging

Jushin comes in similar packaging to that of the Hulk Hogan figures in that it’s a small, colorful box with images all over. The sides showcase his name while the back showcases several images of the figure posed. The front has a nice, large window so you can see him inside followed by all the swappable hands he comes with.

When you remove him from the box and plastic bubble you will notice a long piece of plastic separating his cloth cape from the body, hence preventing any color discoloration. This is an awesome attention to detail for collectors as it prevents any staining that may occur in transit with temperature change, etc. So don’t be alarmed if his head rolls off as it’s disconnected to show you how to remove this piece of plastic.

The Head Sculpt

The sculpt for Jushin is really nice and detailed. It’s extremely colorful and the details are molded into his head, not just painted on, such as the laces hidden by his hair on the back of his head. His mask is super detailed, which is awesome, such as the holes for his eyes to see through in the mask and his hair hangs down on the sides. Unfortunately his hair restricts some movement a bit with the cape on, but all you have to do is pop the head off to remove the cape, which is super simple, and you can pose his head much easier.

The Body

The body of this figure is also super well done. It’s a rubbery-like material, similar to that of Hogan, so be careful with it. The detail on it is awesome from head to toe as well as they really captured the detail of his attire. He has a ball-jointed torso and waist, allowing you to really pose him well. Not to mention the butterfly shoulder joints that give him extra posing ability as well as ball-jointed arms and wrists and double-jointed elbows. His hands can be swapped, all you have to do is pull off each hand and slowly apply a different one. Just be careful and patient as the pegs are small. He also has the horns sticking out of his arms on his wrists, which are a really cool addition to his outfit.

Looking at the waist down he has a molded belt, double-jointed knees, ball-jointed ankles and legs as well as toe joints, giving you even more crazy posing ability. His legs and boots are also super detailed, making his attire really pop and look authentic to the real thing.

The Accessories

The cape is one of the biggest selling ponts to me as I originally thought it was rubber from the first images I saw, but once I remove it from the box I realized it was cloth. The cape is super shiny and detailed and actually has a wire in it to help it hold its shape for display purposes. The cloth is connected to the rubber shoulder pad/chest piece that goes around his neck and over his chest (remove the head to get it on).

He also comes with several pairs of hands, all swappable as mentioned, that allow you to recreate several poses. Whether you recreate his entrance or simply want him punching or grabbing someone you have many options to do so, which is really cool.

Overall

Overall, I was really impressed with this figure. He looked great in images but once I had him in hand I was really impressed. He is extremely detailed and the articulation makes him that much better for posing or display. The cape as well is such a nice bonus as it really makes the figure pop. It’s a great display piece and great for play/posing if you choose to use him for that. I really do recommend it as it’s easily his best action figure to date. Not to mention he scales well with Mattel and the Storm Hogan figures, making him fit into your wrestling figure collection really well.
